We, like a lot of folks in the Southeast and Eastern Seaboard, have been inundated with rain of late. However, this weekend granted us two lovely mornings where we had dry roads and warm temps, albeit with a bit more humidity than we would have preferred.
But, we made the best of it with rides from the house on both Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Tomorrow morning we head to Pennsylvania for a visit with my parents, but also for the Tandems East Tandem Weekend on Friday through Sunday near Manheim, PA. We’ll be staying at the Warehouse at the Nook for a couple nights and riding in and around Lancaster county, PA. This is right in the backyard of my family’s home stomping grounds and the towns of Womelsdorf, Reading & Wyomissing on my father’s side and Dilsburg and Wyomissing on my mother’s side. This will give us a chance to visit with a lot of the friends we’ve made during a prior Tandems East Tandem Weekend back in July 2011 as well as Eastern Tandem Rallies, Mid-Atlantic Tandem Rallies and a Santana Tour at Chattanooga, Tennessee. And, best of all, it will also give us a chance to visit with Mel & Barbara Kornbluh!
