Philadelphia Area Tandem Society (PATS) Added to US Tandem Club List

Who knew??  I certainly didn’t, but thankfully the Internet always comes through.

Bill Jackson wrote to let us know that a tandem club was formed in Southeast Pennsylvania that calls itself  the Philadelphia Tandem Society, aka PATS. Like many clubs, they are using a closed group on Facebook as home base where interested parties can join the page with the click of a hyperlink. Embedded above and as follows:

I was surprised to learn the club had been formed back on 29 August 2015 and somehow escaped my attention, even though I recognized several members in that inaugural club photo!  Come on guys, you’re slipping up….

About TG

I've been around a bit and done a few things, have a couple kids and a few grandkids. I tend to be curmudgeonly, matter-of-fact and not predisposed to self-serving chit-chat. Thankfully, my wife's as nice as can be otherwise we'd have no friends. My interests are somewhat eclectic, but whose aren't?

Oh! We know Cheryl and Tom from Santana events we attended with Ken and
Mary Bills in the good ol’ days! Fun to see them.
See you in Valdosta. Happy retirement to lively and lovely Debbie. Can guess
you are on your way to a mororcycle event this weekend. You will find us at
the retirees table with the Sienks, the Stevens, and the Kellys. I think the
Smiths will be with us, too. Always room for two more though!

I will forever be thankful for our chance encounter at the Santana Chattanooga Rally where we also crossed paths with Cheryl & Tom and Ken & Mary. I we could we would do more of those! I’ll pass along your well-wishes to the lovely Miss Debbie; she’s adapting well! We are in fact headed to Panama City Beach for a motorcycle rally on Wednesday! Two weekends later we will indeed see you in Valdosta! Can’t wait. Sadly, unless the cost of healthcare drops by 50% yours truly will continue the trips down into the salt mine for the foreseeable future. But that’s OK: I love building airplanes!
