For those who may have never heard of or who have long-forgotten our companion website TheTandemlink.com, it’s still out there. No, it doesn’t get much love in terms of new content or link updates — I’m sure a lot of the really old ones on the bicycle industry page are now 404 — but up and until this morning it served as host a listing of the major tandem cycling rallies and events.
However, after attempting to make some recent updates I decided it was time to migrate some of the website’s content to the more easy to update blog. Therefore, as of now the Tandem Rallies & Event Listing has its own page on the blog. All of the links to “Events” at TheTandemLink.com now point to the new page and you can also get to the events listing using the link that appears in the blog header. You’ll also notice there’s a second page set up for Off-Road Tandem Events, i.e., Tandem Rallies & Events 2: Off-Road.
One of the casualties of this change is the loss of the graphic Event Locator map, at least for the time being. I might get motivated enough to recreate it as well, but it’s not a given.
The “old page” is still out there since it’s probably been bookmarked and linked-off a variety of other Webpages over the past 18 years. However, visitors to that page will find a banner at the top noting the change in hosting location for current rally information.
