P.T. Barnum Would Be Proud….

…if this seller can even get 1/10 of what he’s asking.    I’m hoping the seller simply put one too many zero’s on his buy-it-now price.

I vaguely recall seeing some of the GreenLine imported bikes in the past and these were pretty much big-box store quality.  The tandems sell for around $300 – $400 and the triplet was pretty short-lived.  It was on the order of 85 lbs with inadequate brakes, six speed rear shifting, stamped / forged cranks with idler wheels vs. an eccentric and, well, you get the point.

Again, I’m hoping the seller just put in one too many zeros, otherwise…  you go! P.T. Barnum would be proud if you could close a deal on this bad-boy for any amount with four digits!!

Good Lord, $5,000 was the actual asking price!  He just lowered it to $4,500!

About TG

I've been around a bit and done a few things, have a couple kids and a few grandkids. I tend to be curmudgeonly, matter-of-fact and not predisposed to self-serving chit-chat. Thankfully, my wife's as nice as can be otherwise we'd have no friends. My interests are somewhat eclectic, but whose aren't?

Sure wouldn’t trade my Hobs Blue Riband tandem (1947) for it.
Good enough for bike trails in Florida, I suppose.

    Hobbs Blue Riband…. Nice!!!

For context by readers not familiar with the Albert Hobbs / Hobbs of Barbican ‘Blue Riband’ bicycles and tandems
