Off-Road Tandem Events for 2015… Looking for Insights Here!

I’ve taken a shot at updating the “Off-Road Tandem Events” page  at  www.thetandemlink.com, but feel like it’s a bit thin.  Quite a few of the off-road festivals and events that included tandem categories have gone the way of the Dodo bird.

So, if you’re an off-road tandem enthusiast and know of a social or competitive off-road event that includes a tandem class, category or otherwise is a good venue that draws off-road tandem teams please let me know so I can add it to the calendar.

In the mean time, here’s a snap shot of what I’ve got so far.  You can see the complete list at our “Off-Road Tandem Events” page.

For our readers who have an interest in attending one of these off-road events in 2015, note that quite a few of them have lottery-based sign-ups and/or hard limits on the number of registrants.  So, it’s probably time to start marking up your calendars, getting in those vacation requests and keeping an eye on those registration dates. If registration is already closed or the event limits have been met for 2015, take note of the lottery or registration dates for 2016.

About TG

I've been around a bit and done a few things, have a couple kids and a few grandkids. I tend to be curmudgeonly, matter-of-fact and not predisposed to self-serving chit-chat. Thankfully, my wife's as nice as can be otherwise we'd have no friends. My interests are somewhat eclectic, but whose aren't?

Monster Cross and Mountainbike, Pocohontas State Park, Chesterfield, VA – just south of Richmond. https://www.bikereg.com/25161
Tandem category for the 50 mile option. Jeff and I would love to have some more company out there. Race is on fire roads with some doubletrack. Large race, nice venue, 20 odd miles of mountain bike trails at this park and just minutes from the James River Park System trails in Richmond.

    Hi,

The transalp race does not allow tandems anymore. They are explicitly forbidden for some reason
