The Tandem Club of Georgia has a New Look on the Web!

Roger Strauss & Eve Kofsky brought the Tandem Club of Georgia (aka, PEACHES) out of the dark ages of YahooGroups and into the bloggosphere this week with the launch of a new WordPress blog: http://peachestandem.wordpress.com.

PEACHES

This will become tandem club central for Georgia’s PEACHES going forward.   People who want to receive notifications any time something is published to the blog should look for the “Follow this Blog” “pop-up” menu at the upper left or lower right corner of their browser window while visiting the site; click on it and it will ask for the Email address that you’d like to use to receive those updates.

Because of the issues we had with spamming at the YahooGroups site, posting information to the WordPress blog or other updates are all that different: if you want to publish something just use the submittal pages for “Post a Ride” or “Post a Tandem Related Item” to compose your message and hit submit.  It will go to Roger & Eve before it gets published, i.e., after moderators ensure its appropriate for readers and related to tandem cycling.

So, there you have it.  We’ll likely sunset the YahooGroups site by the end of February.

About TG

I've been around a bit and done a few things, have a couple kids and a few grandkids. I tend to be curmudgeonly, matter-of-fact and not predisposed to self-serving chit-chat. Thankfully, my wife's as nice as can be otherwise we'd have no friends. My interests are somewhat eclectic, but whose aren't?
