… With The Start of a New Day Comes A “Lite” Version of our Blog

A New Dawn For The TandemGeek’s Blog

Based on a number of both public and private comments we’ve received since posting our plan to sunset this blog, we are modifying our “exit strategy”.

Rather than a complete sunset of the blog and our Website, we will continue to service the blog but new content will be  limited to tandem-specific news related to rallies, clubs and the like.

Following this week’s final update, we are curtailing our practice of “pushing” summaries out to the Web-based lists as we have in the past; however, our subscribers will still receive Email notices as updates to this blog are posted.

We hope this will allow us to continue to serve the needs of tandem enthusiasts looking to connect to other tandem enthusiasts while freeing up some much needed personal time to pursue our own tandem cycling and other interests.

Finally, as it turns out, I still find maintaining a diary / blogging is something that helps me relax and that I find enjoyable.  Therefore, we have created a new blog entitled Riding Two-Up to capture our personal adventures and interests… which will only be updated when I’m so moved.

The recent flurry of updates at Riding Two-Up represents a “backlog” of draft entries written for The TandemGeek’s Blog related to our motorcycling interests that had not yet been published.  It is not representative of what the future will hold.

About TG

I've been around a bit and done a few things, have a couple kids and a few grandkids. I tend to be curmudgeonly, matter-of-fact and not predisposed to self-serving chit-chat. Thankfully, my wife's as nice as can be otherwise we'd have no friends. My interests are somewhat eclectic, but whose aren't?

Thanks so much for continuing the “trip”. Mine was interrupted with kids and reaching “maturity’, but with the 40th (or so) anniversary of the Eastern Tandem Rally, I’m about to resume the ride.

Thanks, it seems a really great resource and it’s appreciated, have a most excellent day!

Glad you decided to keep us in the tandem family. We are looking forward to hopefully making the Midwest Tandem Rally this year, schedule permitting. This site is invaluable for it’s wealth of information. Thanks again.
