2011 Tandem Rally Announcements at STR

As is always the tradition, the Southern Tandem Rally’s banquet is used to reveal the location for the following year’s STR  rally location as well as the always popular Georgia Tandem Rally.  This year was no exception…

Cutting to the chase, the 2011 Georgia Tandem Rally is being held in Macon, Georgia on May 19th-22nd.  More details will be posted at the official Georgia Tandem Rally Website.  As best as we can tell, we’ll remain GTR Originals for 2011 as Macon is an easy 2hr drive from our home and the riding in central Georgia is pretty nice.  It’s been a while, but if memory serves the terrain tends to include some rolling hills and the area is also rich in history.

The 2011 Southern Tandem Rally will venture to the far northeastern reaches of the Southeastern US in a small North Carolina town, Mebane, located between Greensboro & Raleigh: more info will be forthcoming.

The 2011 Southwest Tandem Rally’s host club, the Houston Area Tandem Society (HATS) also made a brief pitch and distributed refrigerator magnets with information on the April 29th – May 1st rally in LaGrange, Texas.

And not to be left out, a representative for the 2011 Midwest Tandem Rally made a pitch.  MTR will be held in Ann Arbor, Michigan over the Labor Day Weekend (Sept 2 – 5).  The MTR ’11 Website is already up and running.

About TG

I've been around a bit and done a few things, have a couple kids and a few grandkids. I tend to be curmudgeonly, matter-of-fact and not predisposed to self-serving chit-chat. Thankfully, my wife's as nice as can be otherwise we'd have no friends. My interests are somewhat eclectic, but whose aren't?
