2010 Midwest Tandem Rally

Almost before most folks had made it home from this year’s Midwest Tandem Rally in Shipshewana, Indiana over the Labor Day weekend, our friend and proprietor of Precision Tandems, Mark Johnson, posted out a very detailed trip diary with lots and lots of photos that recounted their weekend in Indiana.

Actually, it was even more interesting than that, as Mark included a retrospective that looked all the way back to their first MTR in 1994.  You can find his write-up at the Precision Tandems Website or by clicking on the photo of Team Precision Tandems, above.

We also received a Hobbes posting from Jay Hardcastle who I believe was the chairman for Indiana’s 2010 Midwest Tandem Rally’s host club, the Hoosiers Out On Tandems (H.O.O.T.S.).  Jay shared out a link to a video of the nearly 500 tandem mass-start on Saturday.  The same video as well as a Flickr slide show for the 2010 MTR photo pool appear below and can also be found at the 2010 MTR Website.

About TG

I've been around a bit and done a few things, have a couple kids and a few grandkids. I tend to be curmudgeonly, matter-of-fact and not predisposed to self-serving chit-chat. Thankfully, my wife's as nice as can be otherwise we'd have no friends. My interests are somewhat eclectic, but whose aren't?

Wondering whether any of the teams at the rallys are male/male. Would like to bring a buddy.

  2. Thanks for sharing the link. We have had almost 600 view of the MTR Mass Start Video since it was posted.

for the HOOTS and MTR 2010,
