Woohoo!! Although it fell a wee bit short of the 218 tandem teams that showed up for the Roc d’Azure in France back on Oct 9th, it’s more than noteworthy that 30 off-road tandem teams showed up at the start line for this year’s Iceman Coment Challenge in Michigan back on November 6th.
For those who are not familiar with the Iceman, and as noted on the Iceman website, “The Iceman Cometh Challenge is a 27 mile point-to-point mountain bike race from Kalkaska to Traverse City, Michigan. Held traditionally on the first Saturday of November (except for years when the first Saturday of November is the 1st), the 21st annual Iceman [was] held on Saturday, November 6, 2010. Just under $25,000 in cash prizes and $10,000 in merchandise prizes [was] awarded.”
